total scam artist. Wish I had seen these reviews before I gave him $500, which he supposedly bought materials with, but never used and never returned material to me or money to me. Took my money, never went to the house and now is threatening a lien on my property for more money when he didn't do anything. Class action lawsuit anyone?

Stay away from these scam artist! I filled in Small Claims Court today -- my entire floor that he installed has to come up -- every wall he painted has runs and nail heads showing -- he did NOT pain the trim work or the inside of three closets. Tile has literally fallen off and he wouldn't even come in and look at the mess Jay and the other employed by him were doing. BEWARE! Mathew Minnick and his foreman Jay Perry are liars and thieves. They betrayed my trust and stole hundreds of dollars of Home Depot merchandise and paint. They failed to finish 11 projects I had paid them for. Their work is shoddy and they left my place in shambles. I helped Matt out because I believed in him and he turned out to be a liar. Now I'm paying double to have another contractor re-paint and fix the electrical and plumbing problems they caused

Matthew Minnick and Jay get paid upfront, then never complete the work. They also left with $100s of dollars worth of equipment that I paid for my project. They will not return phone calls once they have your money. This is a SCAM! Do not get any services from this company. Matt and Jay are both scamming everyone for their money. Matt came to my home and quoted me to paint my interior for the whole house. I paid him 2/3 of the quote and received less than 25% of the work completed. Matt had said the job would only take 3 days. After 2 weeks of Matt making up excuses of why they were taking so long he pulled his "workers" out and said he would have to come back later once he got his crew in better shape. Me and my wife just bought our house and were in a hurry to move in so we wanted the interior painted first. I met with the owner of Renu Painting on the 16th. He was very helpful and answered all my questions and gave good advice. We had everything painted including all of our oak trim, windows and doors. His quote came in below 4 of the 5 other contractors. He said he would have it done in 4 days. 2 of his crews worked a day shift and a night shift and had it completed in 2 days.
