Great spot
Love rocks. Big rocks, shiney rocks, lapidary, Nevada rocks. Reno Gem and Mineral Society is the place to learn about and to find people with similar interests.
Wow. Great facility. Bit pricy on the hourly rate, but at least your payment shows when it comes to the equipment and stations. Will be joining. $35 a year is a no Brainerd. But they will make it up with the $7 an hour lab use fee
I brought a couple of young kids by the Reno Gem and Mineral Society completely unannounced one day, due to a misunderstanding about the Junior Rockhounds event date. Janet was kind and generous to give the kids an impromptu tour of the space and the rocks on display. She really didn't have to, but that was so appreciated by the kids who otherwise would have been so disappointed to have showed up for no reason.
