Visited Dr. Sammaritano on a Friday afternoon with concerns about my newborn who was having trouble breathing and experiencing flu-like symptoms. Dr. was extremely condescending (asked what I did for a living and implied that I was not qualified to name symptoms my child was experiencing) and did not listen to the questions I asked. It just felt like she was more focused on correcting me than assessing my child and determining if she was in distress (which, as a 3 month old, was concerning).
My daughter had a medical situation that was concerning to us and she was able to get an appointment the same day but unfortunately with Sammaritano. In 18 years we have never had anything but exceptional care at this office until now. This doctor interrupted my daughter (who is 18) and did not let her finish speaking about her symptoms, made a snide remark to a nurse that my daughter overheard and was just plain rude and abrupt.
