This place is a dump! I give it 1 star. It’s old and dirty and everything looks worn and ancient. There is no bellman and the valet took 25 minutes to show up. It’s worse than a Holiday Inn. It’s a total fallacy to call this a 4 star hotel.

Absolutely fantastic experience! First time staying here and we loved everything about the hotel. The bar and restaurant are beautiful and the staff is incredible. Jared and the other servers were fantastic and we ended up having drinks before dinner, then we had a great dinner with Jared as our server, and then we went back again after our concert for a night cap. Such a beautiful Hotel in a perfect location for DART and just walking downtown Dallas. The staff was helpful and made our stay so enjoyable.

The main restaurant is closed during the week for breakfast, so you are directed to the 3rd floor lounge. The breakfast looked like they borrowed it from a Days Inn; for this being a Renaissance, it was a huge disappointment, so we went to the JW Steakhouse in the JW Marriott for an outstanding breakfast with exceptional customer service! Additionally, the mattress and pillows were hard as a rock.
