Get more staff and people who really care. Clean up the place and get better beds.
Horrible care. Dirty. My dad received horrible care at this facility. While there are some wonderful people who work here, most are very lazy. Answer call bells, turn them off, say someone will be right there to help and then resident is forgotten. Staff very lax with meds. I found my dads meds sitting on counter. Dad in bed and no way to get to them. Any resident could have wandered in and taken dad’s meds. Dirty soiled clothing stuffed in closet with clean clothes or thrown on chair and reused next day. Awful place! My poor father suffered for months after needing short term rehab which turned into long term care. Dirty, lack of staff, supervisors terrible. Every time I spoke one of them their excuse for not knowing ANYTHING was they were new. I’m sure some of the time it was true as There’s a huge turnover! Mostly my father was poorly taken care of and I felt like I needed to be there every day to make sure he ate and was not forgotten about. They changed his medications on the daily! I would not bring my dead dog to this facility!! It is a horrible place for your loved one or family member to have to be. Anyone who has previously rated this facility 5 stars was either forced to do it or paid to do it, or they never stepped foot in the place to see what really goes on! I was there one day visiting my Dad and an elderly gentleman fell face down on the floor in the doorway of his room. The only way this place of hell could be improved is to have it shut down & I'm saying this as a former patient who was there for less than a month!!!
Would never place a friend or family member here ever again. Very poor care, staff withholding important health information, lying about patient care and condition. Not returning overpayment for services. Hap hazard and mis-management of drugs. Ultimately, we had to insist that our mom be sent to the hospital as it was clear to us that she was severely de-hydrated, which the hospital confirmed, and that she had numerous bed sores that the Renaissance staff intentionally did not notify us of.
