I am 55 and grew up with Remington rifles and shotguns; owned very few firearms from other manufacturers; lifelong customer. About 4 years ago I bought an Remington M887 shotgun and never used it. It was in storage until A few weeks ago. When I checked out the shotgun I discovered that the safety does not operate correctly. The safety can be pushed too far in both directions. Joke of a company. Warrantee is useless since they wont fix it. Bought a new 1911 that wont feed. It jams and presses the round into the case. That's dangerous. Its basically a bomb in your hand waiting to go off. Its has been sent back 3 times already. Each time they claim they replicated the issue and oiled it. Oil wont fix it. The feed ramp needs taken down. Customer service is the worst. Rude and unhelpful. Strait up saying they will just send it back and not fix it. DO NOT EVER BUY THEIR JUNK.

I purchased a GII SASS in 308. I shot less than a box of shells before it bent the firing pin. I simply purchased on locally, not knowing it was titanium. DPMS sent me a new one. Then it punched through primers. The gun went in for repair. I was told I was using the wrong ammo. Next time out it wouldn't eject properly. It went in for repair. Bought a RM380, shot approx. 250 rounds of Remington ball ammo, the rails had substantial burrs on both sides and the face. Sent it back to Remington, they said it was normal wear, offered to fix it for a fee. I asked if it was normal why would they offer to fix it for a fee. No real answer given. I asked to have the gun returned with nor repairs. They said it would be returned, after 3 months of numerous emails and calls requesting the gun be returned, most of which Remington did not respond to. Last call they assured me th... read more

It took several emails and calls over 6 months to get these deadbeats to honor a rebate. It is like talking to a wall. These folks just automatically ignore the issues. It took escalation past the rebate center and past the first level of customer support and several pictures and showing them information on their own web site to get them to honor a valid rebate.

Fraudlent rebate policy. Makes submission difficult and denies that I sent in required upc code. I can't re-send the upc code because I already sent it in initially.

I got a R700 Adl and R870 tactical from academy, there was 2 rebate coupons for both guns. The rebate tempted me more to get both guns, so I did. When I tried to sign up, the r700 didn't have the correct upc to ring up so I called. I spoke with someone on the phone, and they spoke to their manager about sending it through. Many weeks later, i have been expecting the rebate, days after the deadline, i call back wondering the status. Bought 40 boxes of 9mm ammo on Black Friday and mailed in all required documents for rebates. 4 months later and still haven't received anything. I called and they said they never received the documents. I tracked the package and it shows delivered. I will never buy Remington again
