REM is the best management company I have dealt with in my 40 years in NYC. I have lived in Manhattan (Several places), Brooklyn, and now Astoria. I found I was having breathing problems. They tested me and I am allergic to MOLD. I have lived here 18 years, and no matter how much I have cleaned, mold builds up. Could NOT get rid of it. I reported this to REM on a Tuesday, and a guy (Jovani) was here all day Thursday AND Friday. He got the mold out fairly quickly, but before I knew what was going on, he had pract... read more

On September 1, 2020 I have signed two separate agreements with R.E.M Residential to manage my residential building in New York and a second contract was signed to manage my shopping center in New Jersey. I don’t know where to begin when talking about this crooked person Rick Elezi from R.E.M residential. The contract was saying that R.E.M must deposit all collected rent into my bank account. Terrible. Management ignores new tenants need to correctly set up utilities. Claims they have no idea which Utility meters match to which units. Apartment was in sloppy/poor condition at move-in - active leak under sink and poorly hung cabinets.

I had a problem with my apartment where the gas was not working. I spoke to Shpresa at REM Residential, and we reached a resolution within the hour. She was courteous and professional, and the first person to provide a reasonable solution to the problem at hand. My experience with this management company so far has been great, would definitely recommend to friends and family.

Horrible service. REM took over the management of our building in September from EDS Mgmt whom we had for 38 years. Since then, we have not had heat, even with the temperatures in the 30s. New gas lines were installed incorrectly by their plumbers, ConEd refused to approve the project, more work was done, finally had ConEd come and inspect and approve yesterday but there may be a 2 week delay before ConEd turns on the service. In addition, the temporary fix for hot water - an electric heater until the gas connection is a... read more
