I am not one to usually write negative reviews, but my experience with Reliant Energy has been... not so good. I called Reliant in December of 2024 because I was going to be moving into a new apartment that month. I told Reliant that my move in date was going to be 12/10. They understood and said my electricity services would be active by then. I moved into my unit and I had power. Great. I went on Reliant's website to set up my account. Personally I have reliant, no issue with the service. However when I visited Kroger on Forrest Ln tonight, I was bombarded by the sales men at 10pm. I repeated myself 2 times I already have service with reliant. As I was walking out (being inside of Kroger for 5 min) they attempted to approach me once again. Another man from reliant, started harassing the people walking out in front of me. The man actually grabbed the lady on the shoulder and asked her “what was the outcome”. The worst energy company ٬with rates that are 3 times higher than other companies. I will pay the cancellation fee soon and go somewhere else. It's awful.
Blood sucking company. My usage went up weekly since September. I'm a single man with no kids that works a 9-5.....smfh just ridiculous.
Insanely expensive compared to all the places I have lived with many different energy companies this is by far the biggest rip off.
