Dear Reliable Transmission: I had the unfortunate experience of having the transmission fail in my 2001 Pathfinder late in the afternoon of April 22, 2014. I was travelling through Portland from Vancouver,B.C. when my truck transmission died. I ventured into a nearby garage and they said Reliable Transmission was a good place to have it repaired. A couple of days later I talked with Jim at Reliable. He took the time to tell me what was wrong and asked what I towed with my truck. Referred by my mechanics – Looked around town for transmission repair shop. Read the not so good review. Asked my long time mechanics about where to go and was enthusiastically told Reliable Transmission people know their stuff. They related some complicated transmisson problem that Reliable solved that required them to build a part.It worked great. I called. They towed the car, fixed it at a good price and turned my crisis into a pretty good experience. Goes to show you can't believe everything you read. -Ogie Shaw

Fixed my pickup for $80.00 – I have a '92 Dodge pickup with an auto transmission with shifting problems. They serviced the transmission and fixed the problem for only $80.00. They also discovered a leaking gas filter that quick oil change chain had installed improperly. I liked them, the truck shifts great.

Unreliable, Unethical Transmission. Aloha's Transmission Trap. – Free transmission check turns to a $300 transmission check how convenient, sent my transmission away to another location to disassembled it a week later with absolutely no consent. Three weeks with my transmission all while absolutely no contact on there behalf was made, although phone calls were I had request regarding any number of concerns I had.
