REI has great customer service for selecting a backpack for fit and getting the appropriate capacity of backpack for how you intend to use it. I had bought two packs online, and XS/S and S/M. Tommy helped me learn how to adjust them and what to look for in the fit. He loaded the backpack with stuff sacks weighing 5-10 pounds to simulate what it would be like with weight in it.
