Best customer service I’ve experienced!
It is nice to have a recreational store that carries many of the tried and true brands. As a hiker, quality has always been the most important aspect for gear. The employees are rather nice, though before I had a membership I always felt like they were pushing the memberships hard. I also wish REI would carry more cottage brand gear both in-person and online. I was very appreciative when I had my day late rental charges waived due to my bus on Yosemite being extremely late. Rei makes me want to be outdoors.
Never shopping here again. Bought a pair of shoes exactly one month ago for this to happen. They can’t retrace my original payment method back to let me return them. Sears and other retailers all would be able to. What a disappointment of a system they run here. They try and sell you on a $30 dollar membership and won’t even make you an account at the register like other stores do. $150 plus tax spent here and this store refuses to be able to do anything.
