They seem to exist to waste government money without actually helping their clients. I've yet to hear about anyone DARS has benefited.
Called about 3 months ago and the lady who answered was so rude. She answered the phone with, “we only help if you want to work, so unless you want a job we can’t help you.” I did in fact call to find out how to assist in getting my adult disabled child a job. I asked for information. She was silent. I asked if she would mind explaining what they do for skills training. I couldn’t get an answer so just asked for an application. Really strange and inappropriate. It was really discouraging.
I just called to find out how their program works and the woman who answered the phone was very very rude. She did not want to hear anything I had to say. Said she didn't have time to listen to anything because she had other callers. Is this honestly acceptabl
