My brother is currently being seen at this hospital with heart problems. They have not checked on him all morning nor given him any pain meds. He has not eaten for over a day and a half and when nurses pass by and he calls out to them for help, they say he needs to wait for the doctor. He is so uncomfortable and in so much pain and nobody is tending to his needs. Why do we have such horrible healthcare?
There is something very broken with Washington 's Healthcare system in general. I am from here and I have never seen anything like this. I went to this ER because I have an infection & abscess behind my left diaphragm and am supposed to take antibiotics for 7 days. Typically antibiotics don't drain an abscess, but ok. But of course I was in immense pain and they gave pain medication...but just 5 pills and a very small dose. Absolutely useless. Errors are regularly made and when you do complain they just cover their asses they don’t care. I was told a diagnosis was missed in my chart when I made the complain and it wasn’t updated they wanted me to go through another process again to cover their asses. It’s been years of bad treatment and shitty care but what are you supposed to do when you have an emergency and this is the only place in your city.
