This facility is beautiful, homey, and the staff is courteous and is ready to assist residents and visitors/family members. Requests are met quickly. Resident rooms are spacious, immaculately clean. When I visited staff and volunteers check came in several times an hour to make sure my friend was ok and that I had everything I needed. This is where I would like to be during my final flight.
If this is the way a Hospice facility conducts itself, we will never visit another one. Some staff members were so poorly trained that it was frightening. We were denied a dignified end of life for our loved one and the in home care was just as incompetent and insensitive. Never again.
Regional Hospice's in-home care made our lives much more stressful than they already were. The nurses were incredibly insensitive and the social worker should not be dealing with grieving people as her tone, condescending attitude and way of communicating was very off. They were disrespectful of us--the family members and the Hospice method of caring for patients and family members was just non-existent. Our nurses are in the wrong business.
