I’m convinced! Over the last 4 years I have had two platelet procedures and two stem cell procedures. Six months ago I had the equivalent of a knee replacement surgery using my stem cells and blood to heal my body. So many of my peers have been told to “wait until you can’t stand the pain” for their knee replacement. Instead, with Regenexx, I’m back to doing the things I want to do… Pain free!

I was looking at a hip and shoulder replacement but the procedures at Regenexx Des Moines and Dr Bergum have given me amazing results. I don’t need the replacements now. My range of motion is about 80 percent. Stretching and weight therapy are very important in my recovery. Thank you Dr Bergum and staff.

The bottom line: I avoided surgery for an artificial hip. My work is physically demanding. I only missed a couple weeks of work instead of a couple months. My treatment consisted of stem cell and platelet injections followed by physical therapy. I might need an additional platelet injection 5 or 7 years down the road. Only time will tell—but so far so good. Before the treatment, I experienced a lot of pain and didn’t have enough range of motion to ride a bike.
