We liked everything about Regatta Inn. The rooms were spectacular (we stayed in 2 because we extended our stay), especially the balconies overlooking the intercoastal waterway. We saw dolphins from our balcony which was amazing. We really appreciated the homecooked breakfast, and readily assessible free charcuterie and wine/beer throughout the day. A relatively short walk to the beach as well! From the beach access, about a 20 minute walk to the strip and restaurants. An amazing base to begin and end a day at the beach.
If I could give 6 stars I would! Everything exceed our expectations! The location is spectacular on the intercoastal waterway. We had a 180 degree view from our porch in the Poseidon Suite. We rode the complimentary bikes into town for lunch. Our most favorite thing was the people we met. The receptionist Kim Shuey was the epitome of southern hospitality. She was a delight. And we met some fantastic people at the complimentary happy hour and breakfast. Can't wait to return!!
Our stay at The Regatta Inn on Folly Island, South Carolina exceeded every expectation. From the moment we arrived, the staff provided exceptional customer service that was truly second to none. Took the hubby here for a 40th bday getaway for 4 nights. I can’t say enough fabulous things about Regatta Inn. We loved the Poseidon Room. Beautiful view, spacious, private, and a good sized bath tub. The complimentary breakfasts are yummy and the hospitality is top notch. Free wine/beer/snacks. Free bikes to ride around Folly Beach and an easy drive into Charleston. I highly recommend staying here over staying in Charleston.
The Inn is so charming and the service was exceptional. Its in a quiet area of Folly Beach so the actual beach was not crowded at all. Only downside was that there were no restaurants within walking distance but they dui offer a free golf cart shuttle and bicycles. Highly recommend!
