We recently worked with Matt and his crew to help spruce up our backyard and make it both more functional and aesthetic. We are really happy with the results. As with any home project, there were some unexpected challenges that popped up. But Matt worked hard to find a solution and presented a variety of options so we could pivot. I gotta say, I really loved how everything came out. The whole team is responsive. Nathan and Tanner did an amazing job with the actual work. Highly recommend.

This review is based strictly on the initial interview and not their work. The appt set up process was great - came by text, sent me a Google Drive folder to load pictures, texted a reminder 24 hours in advance and one hour in advance. Matt called me 30 minutes after the set appt time - apparently he needs to send the same reminders to himself as he does to customers. He also hadn't looked at any of my pictures that I uploaded and they were uploaded 4 days before the call. He then told me that the pictures didn't really matt... read more

We had a wonderful experience working with Refuge Design and Landscape on our backyard. We had recently moved into our first home and the backyard was covered in playground turf and overgrown with weeds. We were overwhelmed and in dire need of help. Matt helped develop a vision to make the yard not just usable, but a place we really love being. Matt was incredibly responsive and articulate in his design for our backyard patio. He respected my time and worked with me to find a price-point within my budget. From inquiry to installation, the process was efficient and hassle-free. The crew on ground were utmost professional, being mindful and friendly to our (nosy) dogs and had the whole patio done in roughly 3 days. Beautiful craftsmanship. Will continue to work with Refuge Design on my future backyard upgrades.
