The actual dental work has been good. The appointment set up/ billing/ customer service from a couple people…. Not so good. I was told my insurance will only let me go if the cleanings are 6 months or more apart and if it’s a day under it won’t be covered. I asked if they could check into that as I switched insurance plans. 6 months later the day before my appointment they said the same thing and I’d have to wait a few weeks until it was past that 6 month mark. Nice and professional went on first visit due to mouth pain. Evaluated then scheduled 2 was pit for needed treatment and never offered anything for pain
Dr. John Matta, at Refresh Dental - Boardman, 99 Debartolo Place, and his super staff (Lisa, Faith, Tammy, and Mary) are excellent, welcoming, and so friendly. I suffered with an extremely painful, badly cracked and infected tooth cut down to the jaw bone which needed extracted ASAP. Since my dentist had moved out of town, I had to search for a new dentist who would see me as soon as possible and also accept my insurance. These comments pertain to the facility at 99 Debartolo Pl., Boardman, OH, where I had taken my elderly mom for an initial examination as a new patient. We were seen first by two very personable and caring hygienist staff, Faith and Kim, for xrays, initial evaluation and documentation, prior to being seen by the dentist, Dr. Matta, for further evaluation and treatment advice. I went to have 10 teeth removed yesterday! I Absolutely Love this Practice! They had them out, within 10 minutes of the shots going in. That Amazed me! I'm very pleased with my choice to go there and the work that was done! I will suggest this Dental Office For Everyone that needs dental work done! Professionalism to the Max!
I had a horrible experience at Refresh Dental and will not be back. It took 2 hours for a routine cleaning. The staff was friendly but the overbooking of appointments and complete disregard of patients time is extremely unprofessional. I was told an outside company made the appointments.... A suggestion I have would also to put a no cell phone usage in the waiting room sign up.
