Our grounds are FREE and open to the public 7 DAYS a WEEK, DAWN TO DUSK. We are a non-profit, public garden located on a 13.5 acre historic estate offering children's & adult education, camps, workshops, volunteer opportunities, special events, garden tours, premise rentals and a quiet place to rest and reflect. Our office hours are Tuesday-Friday 10am-4pm.

RecommendedSpent a beautiful Sunday afternoon at the Aboretum yesterday, what a jewel in Summit's crown! Walked the wood trails, meandered through the garden paths, took lots of photos. LOVED the chipmunks! Thank you for staying open during this challenging time to preserve our mental health and well being. xx

This has been a wonderful go to for date nights, nature hikes, garden admiring, book reading and sketching. I have been coming here since I had my Summit High School senior portrait taken here in 1979!
A wonderful treasure in the middle of Northern NJ. Free. Beautifully kept gardens, nicely maintained trails.
Beautiful and fun place to visit
Great place I enjoyed seeing the goats . Lots and lots of flowers there are many thing to do for adults and children . Great place to come an sit to read or draw or just take in the sun and beauty of the place .
