Guy just ripped me off. Purchased 10 trees for 3k. He said the trees had a 1year warranty. Do not use him. Filing in small claims court.
Purchased six trees close to a year ago, they were planted quickly and they all look great. Followed the recommended steps on watering and fertilization and they all took off, thanks James!
Peter you are right on, everyone should get together and file suit. I am looking at a dead palm in my yard that he promised to replace also. Also he told me if it was dying to call him so he could do something about it. I did and he never did anything other than to tell me it is too far for him to travel. I even told him I would pay for his fuel and he said no. He suggested I ask my neighbors if they are interested in buying any trees so he could make the trip! I called Redmond Palms and asked for one Palm Tree to be installed in place of twin Palm Trees I bought from James back in 2003 when he had a location on Hwy 17. The twin Palm Trees did not make it through the ice storm in 2014, so when James came out he offered one Palm Tree with the removal of the other for $500. I agree and he brought over the new Palm Tree along with two others for me to see. James said that he could sell me another Palm Tree and plant them to look like they were the old twins for $200 more. Again, I agr... read more
James never answers his phone and does not return calls unless you leave a message saying you want to buy some trees. We had numerous delays in getting the trees installed and then after the installation our landscaper was surprised to see that they had not been staked and were leaning. I left numerous messages for James, with no response. Now about one month later one of six trees has died and same issue - no response to my calls. We purchased 2 palm trees in Feb., 2015 from James Redmond They were planted by him with a guarantee of replacement if there was a problem. There has most definitely been a problem as both trees are dead and probably were when planted. My husband has probably tried to contact James Redmond 25 times or more over the past several months, once we realized that there was a problem with the palms. James has only responded a couple of times and has yet to replace the palms. He now doesn't answer my husband's calls nor texts.... read more
Emailed back and forth, had a time scheduled to plant trees during a community garage sale to help the company increase business. They never showed, lost three dedicated sales and possibly another 50 sales. Communication is key in business and Redmond lacks this. Looks like I will pay $200 more for a palm tree because another company can pick up the phone and come out when scheduled.
