Godawful. The providers THEY refer me to don't accept their crap insurance! I'm ready to pay out of pocket at this point. I need help and I'm not getting it.
I am having a terrible time getting my bills paid. I have had my claims "escalated" numerous times. The company has offered my providers 46% of the bill and will not allow me, the patient to pay the rest of the bill. They are not in the contracted provider list and do not have to accept the small payment. My procedure was preapproved well in advance of the appointment but after the fact they are trying to pay 46%. I am requesting refund of 54% of my past years premiums so I can pay my providers. If I could give a zero I would. You are given a virtual card to pay providers. Doctors do not accept "virtual" payments. AKA fake money. So, YOU pay the doctors. Then that goes towards your deductible. I had a virtual visit with a Doctor and was charged $89. I contacted Redirect Health and was told that I had to tell them about the visit first of it wasn't covered. To submit a receipt and be paid back. Major procedures aren't covered in the 1st year. Redirect does a horrible job coordinating care, and takes an insane amount of effort on our end. The patient is solely responsible for getting information to them, they never keep track of what you’ve paid on your deductible and fluctuate what they are willing to cover as far as DME and prescriptions go. Good luck if you need anything urgently because you’ll be fronting the money and crossing your fingers that they reimburse you, which has yet to actually happen for us.
