These guys looked friendly and based on the reviews i thought it was ok, so I left my vn900 there for an oil change on my visit to New Orleans. They use no name brands of oil for the price of a Castrol or motul. Joe also adjusted the belt and the clutch (basic mechanic stuff) . On the process he forgot to tight the belt tensioners which almost got me killed on the interstate and screw my trip up by putting to much tension on the clutch cable which caused the cable to snap and let me stranded on the road. These guys are helpful and smart, AND their beards are as advertised.
There are three people you must always trust in your life: your doctor, your lawyer, and your mechanic. Joe and Nate at Redbeard Cycles are great mechanics and are honest people. They will not sell you a service you don't need and will always give good advice. I take my bike to them for everything and I urge you to do the same. If you need good service and deal with local veterans (Nate is a Marine Corps veteran), Redbeard Cycles is the place to go.
They are the best great prices will work with non mechanics like me they listen I always take my Bike there they also will work on Hondas any Bike
Dealt with many shops in many states. The guys are the best. Never take your bike anywhere else in Nola. Mine is "weathered" and they treat it like new.
Nate and Joe are why I can once again add 'Rider' behind my name - solid mechanics / brotherly to all - corporate bike shops beware - honesty and integrity live here!!!
