Suggestion..when ordering a salad first..do not give your server the rest of your order until you get your salad....after waiting a long time for a salad, we were served our burger and Philly sandwich within 2 minutes of our salad. Needless to say, our food was less than fresh and hot off the grill. The tip showed our disappointment. If we go back, we will definitely see who our server will be.
Super good burgers near the Indiana Dunes! Come from Northern Illinois just for their burgers!
Service is always great, even if its busy. Same great tasting, juicy burgers every year.

Love this nostalgic restaurant! My cheeseburger was delicious! The staff was very friendly and the service was excellent! It was busy and we had a short wait as it was the first day of the 2018 season. We were in and out the door in less than an hour and that included our wait time!
I have been visiting mak's for many many years, and it's still one of my favorite places to get a burger. I try to make it there on a weekly basis, and I'd say 9 out of ten times they do not disappoint. Sure u have good and bad visits, but tell me one restaurant that's 100% all the time and I'll call u out like the liar you are. Love reds and always will....
