It was extremely hot inside the restaurant—I’d estimate it was around 80°F. The air conditioning either wasn’t working or wasn’t keeping up, and some of the fans weren’t working either. Since it was already very hot outside, we were hoping to cool off, but it ended up feeling just as warm indoors, which made the experience very uncomfortable. This place has a really cool “old” vibe to it and a unique menu. I got the Filet Mignon, for $40 but I would say definitely not worth getting. Filet Mignon at Texas Roadhouse is a lot better tasing. I also got the much less expensive country fried steak and mashed potatoes for $20, which tasted amazing! I also got the tomato soup, which was great. The service was very good and everyone was friendly.
Had the Bourbon Chicken. It was amazing. Generous portions.
My first visit to Red Wing was on Thursday July 9th, which is burger night. I had the humongous mushroom Swiss burger & fries and it was a plate of deliciousness. I also had the fried green tomatoes which was the first time I ever had one & it was very very good. Our server Erica was awesome she really made it a very pleasant experience there. I’m telling you this place will not disappoint you. I’ll definitely be going back.
Had the Maple Bourbon Chicken. It was amazing. Generous portions.
