Best in Metro Detroit Area – I asked the Manager at Red Salon, Ryan, who he recommended for very natural looking color, as well as someone who would take the time to create a style that matches my lifestyle, features, hair texture, etc. Ryan recommended Tisha, and it was an excellent match. Best Salon in the Midwest! – I just moved to Michigan and found RED on city search. I had the best experience ever there! Everyone was on point about everything, and I felt very comfortable. I would recommend it to anyone, man or woman. And bring your dog! :)
Best Color I've ever had... – Ask for Susan F. and you will absolutely love your hair. Not only does she do an excellent job, but you can tell that she cares about the health of your hair. Her color is flawless.
Best Salon and Stylist – I have been to many salons in Michigan, having grown up there, and I have to say RED is the best salon for both color and cut. I go to Susan, who by the way is amazing and is also the sweetest person ever! I live in Chicago now and I tried getting my hair done two seperate times here, and I have hated it both times! energetic hair salon As you enter Red the Salon, you get the feeling of a very lively, customer packed, happening social place. There are many chairs lined up for styling and cutting hair. You might have to wait a bit for your stylist since it seems like they pack their schedule with customers. The price is high, but the hair cuts are great.
Great Salon – I went to Red for 5 years. They have a great atmosphere and the people are very nice. My stylist was wondeful, but I had to move on because she usually scheduled too many people at once. What should have taken me 2 hours usually ended up taking 3. That said, the salon was great and if my stylist would have been a bit more efficient I definitely would have stayed. I will say they have the BEST manicurists... they are perfectionists and I LOVE getting my nails done there.
Go there – I now live in San Fran and work at a salon in Marina/cow hollow area and just have to write a review for Red, to slightly take away from the negative review given. Luigi is the Greatest – I would highly reccomend Luigi for all of the blondes out there that are looking for a great color from a stylist that understands how hard it is to be blonde. I went to him for the first time yesterday and he gave me a beautiful color! His assistants are great too, on the ball.
The worst! – I have lived in New York City, Washington DC, San Francisco, and I now live in Michigan. I have been to some of the best and worst salons in the country and "Red" is by far one of the worst. I went there for a cut and hightlights and the stylist had 7, yes 7, other clients at the SAME TIME. During the 4 hours I was there, he spent a total of 45 minutes with me and left me with one side of my hair an inch longer than the other side and with the worst hightlights, if you call slapping some bleach on a few random c... read more
