BEST NIGTH CLUB IN DOWNTOWN – I WAS THERE LAST THURSDAY AND THEY HAD A GREAT CROWD, AND LOTS OF GIRLS DACING ALL OVER. SERVICE WAS VERY PLEASANT, THEY ARE ALL WILLING TO MAKE YOU FEEL YOU ARE THE MOST IMPORTANT PERSON . THE DRINKS WERE VERY NICE SERVED,AND THE PRICE WAS COMPARABLE TO OTHER PLACES. The clubs downstairs room is a fabulous laytout – Red Star has an amazing layout and beautifully decorated that could make think this club is one of the best in Houston if the clubs ownership management and staff were not the most unprofessional and unexsperience set of people that you ever met. After being there for a special event recently i saw the truth about Red Star that they would try to screw over organization and promoters of houston. Don't ever go here. EVER. – The bouncers are the rudest people I have ever encountered. The bartenders make incredibly weak drinks. If you ask for a shot, expect to pay 10 dollars for one ( ridiculous in a midtown club that has really crappy atmosphere). Another point to make - whenever we are in downtown Houston and we lose something -a phone, keys, sweater, etc -the OTHER clubs always has been more than helpful in helping us find it. Not worth it – This place when I went once before was great, but I went again and it stank! The service was SLOW really slow and RUDE....why they were rude, I have no idea. The bar staff got soooo trashed, at the end of the night they took over 45min closing 3 to 4 peoples tabs.....and they admitted to being "so" trashed. If you cant take the heat, get out of the kitchen. I dont recommend this place to anyone!
Definitely not Russian Style – Very loud music, crowd so-so. You will see a lot of ghetto-fabulous people as well as a mixture of young people and random older guys hanging out on the dance floor watching girls dance. Drinks are nothing special, rooms are crowded, bouncer rude, staff a little arrogant (I didnt expect it from such a lower-class club). Usually, the charge cover.
FUN – This is where I spent my 21st B-day and I wouldn't change my decision if I could. This place is GREAT on a Thursday night...on Friday its a bit slow. BUT no matter what night you choose to go the MUSIC is ALWAYS good. The drinks are 5-7...but they are worth it. Its midtown..you have to pay up! :) I would recommend this place to anyone, wanting to have a great time dancing and drinking. Thats the point right?! :)
WooHoo!!!!! – I love this place!!!!! I stayed away from Midtown in the past because it wasn't lively enough for me (ie, Red Door - just a bunch $30k a year wanna-be-millionaires tryin' to stand around and look cool). But Red Star has brought me back. My first visit last fall, was one the best times I've had in a long time (and I've had some really good times). The music, the crowd, the space, everything!!!
