The other complaints here are spot on. Let me add PRICE GOUGING. We stayed at the Red Roof in Poughkeepsie out of necessity, on VASSAR's Parent's weekend. This was in late September, 2024. This normally reasonable hotel was $800 for three nights. It was a shabby, cheap experience, with dingy hallways and a social worker working out of an open office on our floor. Room and everything was fine except for a lone beetle. The “free breakfast” are cups of coffee in the room. No coffee downstairs just a table and a security guard. Mostly quiet place but was woken up by a backpack blower 830 in the morning right in front of room. The only thing that really rubs me the wrong way is the free breakfast not existing.
