We were on our way to Red Roof, Orion Lake and the person at the front desk called us and emailed us at 2:10pm , 50 minutes before check in, and told us our reservation was cancelled. Our reservation was confirmed and at this point other hotels were booked or ridiculously expensive. This was a huge disappointment to say the least. We went to our planned event and had to drive 2 hours home in the rain and dark.

The man working the front desk made multiple mistakes during check in that caused numerous problems when checking out. When attempting to address these issues upon check out the same man working the front desk told us that we checked in incorrectly and that these issues were our fault. I don't understand how it is our fault there were issues at check in when we provided our ID, credit card, and confirmation number when asked. I would have loved to leave a positive review of this Red Roof Inn. However, I left my AirPods at the hotel during my stay from July 10th to July 12th. When I contacted the hotel, I was told that the lost and found had been checked and that my AirPods were not there. However, I can actively see that my AirPods are still showing their location at the hotel.
