Run-down place, dirty/not cleaned between people, broken mattress, garbage left behind, no garbage can available in room, bathroom light stopped working. We come every year and this place has deteriorated significantly over the years.

Stayed here for 2 nights and can’t complain, great service and rooms were clean. Nathan was great!

I’ve was living here on and off for about a year and for the price, would not choose any other hotel. Location is pet friendly, the staff are charming, and people who stay are so kind. Also, Troy Police patrol the area pretty often. The young gentlemen at the front desk, Nathan, is extremely kind and always has a smile on his face. He is always super helpful. Overall I’d probably have to give it a 4.5 only because of the area it’s in. Sort of hidden but around the corner from big beaver.

I booked this Red Roof Inn despite the reviews because I didn’t want to spend an arm and a leg on a hotel. The location was perfect. My expectations were honestly very low — I just wanted clean sheets. Somehow, they still managed to lower my expectations. People are definitely living here. We overheard a guy (smoking on the hotel balcony) say as much. The room looked like…a roach motel if you can envision that. I had a great experience at Red Roof Inn thanks to Nathan’s excellent customer service. From the moment I checked in, he was friendly, professional, and genuinely helpful. He made the whole process quick and easy, answered all my questions, and made sure I was comfortable during my stay. It’s rare to come across someone who truly cares about guests and goes the extra mile, but Nathan definitely did.
