Stay away from this hotel!! I was in town visiting a friend for her birthday celebration and booked a night here as this was the hotel my grandparents and I always came to in the 90s and early 2000s. Driving into the parking space to check in, I noticed immediately that a lot of the trees that surrounded the property have been removed. There were also many people loitering around the area. I have spent the last three months at the Red Roof Inn after being temporarily unhoused after Hurricane Helene. In a very stressful time for many reasons (I also have some health issues, so was especially nervous being in unfamiliar territory without my home and most belongings), I can truly say that the employees there did everything they could to make this situation as comfortable as possible for me.
