When I went to eat with a group after church, I ordered an omelet from the menu When I asked for toast, I was told there was an extra charge. I could have just plain bread or a dinner roll, but I would be charged extra to toast a piece of bread. I approached the owner before leaving about my feelings of being gouged. He then said, "Oh. I wouldn't have charged you". Too much competition in Charlotte to go back, as He must be making so much money he doesn't need to change.
