I have tried this restaurant several times now and I just have to conclude it is not worth it! Morning time, the waitresses spend more time gossiping than paying attention to the customers. If you are lucky enough to get their attention, you might get a second cup.of coffee. The one waitress, older than the others yells across the room so loud to incoming friends, it's startling!!! I love red olive restaurant, they have so many locations throughout the metro area, your bound to run into one :-) the food is amazing, the deserts are really tasty, snickerz pie, ice cream, cheesecake, apple carmel pie, sooo good :-) must try!
This restaurant has more than one can expect with variety of food selection. The menu captures all types of food including all-day-breakfast. The service is prompt and the coupons are a plus. Also, the environment inside this restaurant is nite, clean and beautiful with it's wood trimmings. My new favorite restaurant! Let me start off by saying that I Love Food, and I've been to so many restaurants that I rarely write a review, unless a restaurant truly "stands out". This was my first time at Red Olive located in the Westborn Strip Mall. very overpriced for mediocre food. tries to drum up new business with deceiving two for one meal coupon then says read small print upon checkout?? very bad business!!
just opened last month! love Red Olive! They are open from 7am till 10 pm most nights, i really love there food, a mix of medeteranean and Greek/European foods. My family and I have been going to the red olive for years now, we all love the kind and friendly service we recieve each time, and now opened in Dearborn! So close to us! Thank you Red Olive! Portions were big, but the food wasn't as good. I ordered the gyro, and the waitress told me the sauce wasn't good. and that they had received many complaints and that she could bring me tsatziki sauce instead. The tsatziki sauce wasn't good either, it was like eating a raw garlic clove. To top our evening off, my spinach pie had a nut (like metal hardware) in it. We have been to this restaurant several times for breakfast and were very pleased. With that thought in mind it isn't usually to hard to make a good breakfast. We decided to try the dinner menu I had the chicken dinner and what a joke the the leg of the chicken was at best 2 inches long and mostly batter. The rest of the chicken followed suit. I have tried most of the mexican restaurants in and around the metro area, and this place is about the worst. The food is terrible and the service is about the same. I ordered burrito's and they were so runny and flavor-less. The beans just sat there and had no consistancy. My dad ordered taco's and the shell's were so greasy after they deep fried them. The person in charge did not take our complaint seriously after we spoke to her so we wasted 15 dollars on bad food and bad service.
