Checked out after only 15 minutes! I'd like to start by saying I am NOT one to leave negative reviews, but something needs to be said here. The photos and reviews for this hotel are VERY misleading (Red Lion Houston Hobby Airport Park/Fly Location). This hotel is really run down. It was late the evening we arrived in Houston and from the moment we walked through the hotel doors there was a strong odor of marijuana. Friendly staff, convenient location, clean room. 5 stars on answering the phone alone. Low bar, but more than can be said for some of the other motels in the area.

Todd was amazing, he answered the phone, took my name and number, had the shuttle call me to be sure I got on, and a phenomenal job responding to an incredible rush as flight after flight was cancelled late at night. The room was basic but spacious and clean. Even though there are rooms where you can smoke, I had a room with no smells on s floor with no smoking. It was a kind refuge in a storm!

The hotel is adequate for somewhere to stay however it lacks atmosphere. It’s not as clean and well presented as l expected. The room #108 had a smell about it and generally the place looks very tired. In the morning l could smell marijuana whether it was a guest l don’t know. The young man on reception on 13/3 was pleasant but didn't really engage in extra conversation or suggestions.
