Quality has declined significantly over the years.
We ordered the spring rolls, mi quang, pho, and phad talay. We went in with high expectations because of the reviews we saw online and were disappointed. The peanut sauce for the spring rolls had a strong almost alcohol like flavor. The mi quang didnt have much flavor and was pretty bland. The pho broth was not aromatic and the noodles were undercooked. The best dish we had was the phad talay but the shrimp tasted old. The service and interior were great but I wouldn't come back here for food again.
Red Lantern in Olympia absolutely earned a five star review from me. Every single dish hit the mark and it all came together into one of the most satisfying dinners I have had in a long time. The pho broth was deeply savory and delicious, and the beef rib was perfectly cooked and so tender that it came off the bone with almost no effort.
