We stopped by Red Door Collective yesterday on our way back to Sydney, not realising they’re only open Friday to Sunday, and yet Evelyna and Stewart still opened the door and welcomed us in with the kindest hospitality. They’re such a lovely couple, having swapped their corporate lives to create truly beautiful wines and a space that feels so genuine and warm. What can we say we loved our stay at the red door collective. Both Evelyn and Stuart the hosts are such wonderful people and their vision to give back is amazing. The space they have created is to kick back relax and enjoy all the hunter has to offer. Evelyn is a great cook, breakfast amazing and Stuart the barrister goes well too! We ordered a cheese board to our room when we arrived which was lovely with a bottle of their wine. We thank you both for such a wonderful experience and we WILL be back xx
My partner and I stayed here for a weekend away and it was honestly the best stay we’ve ever had. The rooms, hospitality and location were all perfect. The key points of attraction was: - fresh food ingredients, cooked with pure love - the coffee was one of the best in the area - the host were just personable and could easily have a nice warming conversation. Evelyn and Stuart's hospitality was absolutely wonderful. They are a very interesting couple who went out of their way to make sure we enjoyed every aspect of our stay with them and in the Hunter Valley more broadly. We (two couples) stayed for four nights to celebrate our husband's 60th birthdays. Semillon Cottage was beautifully presented and sparkling clean.
