You only get one chance re first impressions and we were greeted by owners, this beautiful Filipino Australian lady, Evelyn and her pom (from England) sweetheart, Stewart with a great big hug 🤗 and an amazing gourmet platter with so much delicious local produce, especially the local Gorgonzola and mascarpone cheese with a drizzle of local honey , home made olives and homemade eggplant and , I can’t wait to eat it all again We were celebrating our 24th anniversary and received a beautiful handwritten card and book by Gillie... read more
Well - let’s be clear Evelyn and Stuart are amazing hosts. The RDC is a beautiful place to stay and there passion for the land and the people and the community is very rare They make wine too, great drops and there is a lot of sincerity in their craft. Highly recommend RDC as one of the Hunter Valleys Finest places!

We stopped in for a wine tasting and some cheese. Incredible! Stuart and Evelyn were amazing hosts. So so welcoming and easy going. Their wines were great and served in the right glasses for each drop. We ended up getting lunch while we were there Evelyn’s Prawn Laksa and her prawn linguine are to die for! By far the best food of the weekend. Oh have I mentioned Evelyn’s homemade chilli jams, they were a fantastic addition to the cheese platter. Will definitely be back to check out their accomodation! We had a truely fantastic stay at the Red Door Collective! The cottages were so incredibly comfortable,clean and peaceful-the perfect place to unwind. As massive thank you to Stuart and Evelyn who are absolutely wonderful hosts . They felt like friends . They made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. The food was also amazing and was another highlight of our stay. We loved it so much we will be returning soon to watch our son march out of Lone Pine Barracks .
