I wasn't facing prison time, nor was I homeless. I was lost and my body and soul was broken. I came to the program a defeated shell of a man. My past is just a history that no longer has control over me. If it wasn't for RVC, I'd be a lost soul, dwelling on what could have been. Now, I can choose my own destiny. I can be the father I should've always been. I can be a son again, a friend. I owe my life to RVC, and the people I've met along the way. The hard part has yet to come.
I worked very hard in this program and I worked hard on myself. I learned how to deal with life as it comes and how to find inner peace in times of chaos. I learned the opposite of addiction is connection. I've experienced a lot of loss between loved ones, friends and even a home and I got through a lot of it with my support group here that helped teach me the skills and still gives me the support I need. I'm very grateful to be much closer to the person I always wanted to be since going through and graduating this program. ... read more
Worst place ever.. wouldn't even put a rattlesnake there.. I was already broken and they stomped on the pieces that were left. They make you work, work and more work with hardly no sleep. You get in trouble for even acting tired. Every must be called buddy and cannot be called by their names.
