Recha Bergstrom is a unicorn— a seasoned radiologist who makes well informed decisions based on her many years of experience and also based on current literature. I am lucky I got her as my breast radiologist. She gave me kind and compassionate service, and I felt very cared for under her watch, and under the care of her team. Dr Bergstrom has the BEST bedside manner! I unfortunately had to have a biopsy, and she couldn't have been more kind and compassionate. She talked me to through the entire procedure, and made sure that I was comfortable and pain free. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Bergstrom, and would trust her unconditionally. (I would absolutely recommend her to my family or friends as well!)
Horrible! I am a three times breast cancer survivor with a palpable lump. Dr. Bergstrom refused to perform a mammogram ordered by my primary doctor and another radiologist because she did not agree one was needed. She provided no alternative options as a suggestion for assessment and made no attempt to follow-up with the other physicians making the recommendation. I strongly question her education and experience. Further her assistant Leslie was rude when I asked for options and a better understanding of the decision.
