Despite being overwhelmed by the number of patients she has, she tries to get to know you personally and tailors the care she provides to your needs. She also takes the time to listen and understand what you really need (which is why her waiting room is frequently backlogged).
I've been going to Dr. Luikenaar for 10 years. She has delivered all 3 of my kids, and I just adore her!
The work She's doing for the trans community is priceless. Thank you for giving people access to hormones and transition care.

Dr Rixt Luikenaar is one of the best doctors I've ever had. She is trans supportive, SW friendly, addict friendly. Ever since I started seeing her she has helped improve my life. There is seriously no judgement from her about anything of your life, she just wants to give you the best care she possibly can. She herself has trans family members, so supportive and proper trans healthcare is definitely personal and important to her, not just a revenue source. I wish I could give more than 5 stars. Dr. Luikenaar is compassionate and truly cares about her patients and that is something you can see off the bat. The staff are all kind, courteous, knowledgeable, and are great at easing all fears and lessening anxiety. Dr. Luikenaar also did my hystorectomy (Im a transmale). The staff got my insurance to approve the surgery and Dr. Luikenaar took the time to explain things in depth and answered any questions or concerns I had. Definitely recommend anyone to her!
