I am new to this area and going to school at UI. I needed a haircut and I found Rebel Roots Salon on instagram. I was very nervous being new to this area and not knowing anyone but I took the risk and I booked an appointment. And let’s just say it really paid off. Kenzie did an absolutely beautiful job on my hair, I was so happy to see the final product. This girl really knows how to cut some hair! I barely write reviews, but my experience with McKenzie at Rebel Roots was so bad I have to say something. She completely ignored what I wanted, didn’t communicate at all, and didn’t even do the service I asked for. On top of that, she canceled on me last minute and still had the nerve to charge me hundreds of dollars for a horrible experience. This was a complete waste of time and money. Avoid her at all costs!
$200+ DO NOT GO HERE! i had an absolutely terrible experience with my stylist, Mckenzie, and I wouldn't recommend her to anyone. From start to finish, everything about this process was unprofessional and upsetting. To start, she canceled my first appointment last minute but promised me a discount as a courtesy for the inconvenience. Kenzie is the most amazing and sweet hairstylist !! I’ve been to many different people before and no one does it like her !!
My sister paid 400 dollars for a color she didn't want, and was treated terribly for asking for it be fixed. If I paid someone 100 dollars an hour, I would expect them to be an expert. Everything I heard and see about this place will make me make sure I tell everyone never to come here. Seeing my sister cry because her hair was damaged is something I will not forget.
