I just want to say that , I’ve just moved to Wisconsin, Madison and I’ve been having a lot of trouble finding a hairstylist that I felt good in my gut going to. I looked up many hair salons and Rebel Hair kept coming up as one of the best! I made an appointment with Meikayla and prayed! Lol I was in for a very pleasant surprise! I’ve been following Cassie (the owner of Rebel Hair) for years, even back when she worked at other salons, and I’m so glad she now has her own space. Rebel Hair is everything I’d hoped for and more. It’s welcoming, creative, and feels like a safe haven—especially for LGBTQIA+ folks and those of us who appreciate a salon full of wonderfully weird, neurodivergent energy. Maria does a great job. They are both nice and a good, clear communicator. Aside from reliably doing a good job at cuts and color, I love that they try to make sensory accommodations and offer the option of chatting or not chatting during the appointment. They also did a really great job of screening their products for a common fragrance that I have a negative reaction to. Queer/LGBT+ friendly and autism/neurodiverse friendly!!
