I’ve been seeing Dr. Hovland for years and highly recommend her! I know a lot of doctors (I was married to one for 16 years), and a lot of them are very smart, but not very good at talking to patients. Dr. Hovland is the best of both worlds - she’s intelligent, knowledgeable, friendly, curious, easy to talk with, and most importantly, has empathy for her patients! Recently I scheduled an appointment online to talk to Dr. Hovland about managing my symptoms for PCOS. About 15 minutes prior to the appointment, I get a call from the PA Jody because apparently Hovland will not talk about these things via a Telehealth visit, so I agree to come in person, but minutes later I get a call from Jody again saying Dr. Hovland will not even see me for this issue at all.
