Dr. Sommer goes above and beyond to care for her patients. She's not about lining her pockets, rather what she can do to help her patients and meet their needs. I left my previous dentist due to poor dental care and treatment, I was told by him that I needed to choose which teeth to work on, as my insurance coverage wasn't going to cover everything I needed, and that because of this, I would lose a tooth. Omg, I cannot recommend this lady enough. I have gone to many dentists over the years who lied to me, scammed me & did shotty, inferior work. I was tired of these dentists not caring about quality, just quantity. It’s sickening the number of people in the medical community who’ve abandoned their hippocratic oath! Best dentist in lower MI, hands down. Clean office, friendly staff and this dentist is like a sculptor. She can make any mouth look like a million bucks. They are all “real people” in this office…talk to you like a friend, always concerned with your comfort and satisfaction. When Dr S retires I fear I will never find another dentist that will check all the boxes like she does. One of a kind. A dental perfectionist, and that’s what you want in a dentist. Can’t say enough positive things about this office.
She is one of the most expensive in town. She tries to charge you the full amount before taking insurance that she says she accepts. No wonder she talks about having a maid. She’s more concerned about putting decorations out and having late lunches before caring about her patients.One of her dental assistants Valerie is always rude and condescending whenever I have went there. Very unprofessional. I thought I would give them another chance because I didn’t like it there when I was a kid. BIG mistake.
I have to share a "great" dental experience I received with the staff at Dr. Sommers dental office in Battle Creek. I am a new patient with Dr Sommers, I was VERY impressed with her ability to see me right away. I was treated with understanding and caring from the receptionist to the doctor. Not only was I given excellent care but, my needs and concerns were addressed in a professional manner. The doctor called me directly, thoroughly explaining my individual needs with me. 5 out of 5 stars
Dr Sommer has been my dentist for several years. She and her staff are always friendly and helpful. I have recommended her to family members who also find everyone in her office to be very thorough and professional.

I took my son to Dr.Sommer he had a very bad toothache. She was very kind and gentle with him as he has fear of going to the dentist. She was very concerned about him and the infection that he had at the time. Dr.Sommer called us a few days later to check up on him and see how he was doing! Thanks to her my sons fear of going to the dentist is gone!!! Thank You Dr.Sommer and staff for taking such good care of your patients!!
