Stopped by RUB like I do several times a week. I have been going for the past 8 years since moving up here from down south and honestly what I learned today was heartbreaking. Was so excited and this was just not good. Service was bad and food was not good. My kids LOVE Mac and cheese from anywhere. This is the first time they did not like it. I can see why it tasted old and dried out. I would also think a kids drink comes with a lid but no it was a small water cup. The pulled pork was not bad. Chicken was dried out like it was also old. Ive been coming here for years, both in highland Park and vernon hills. I used to dub this place the best BBQ around. It was a while since I've been in, so I made the stop. This place price gouges the hell out of you. Ridiculous pricing aside they now weigh the meat. There was more bread than meat on my sandwich, it was a joke. This is not the RUB of the past.
