Dr. Bruce and the staff at Read Mountain are incredibly competent and always keep the health and well being of your animals as their foremost concern. We take our two dogs and a cat there and have always found them to be very professional and helpful. We have a dog that requires being muzzled for vet visits and they have always handled him very well.
Have taken my animals to Read Mountain since they opened. Was so glad to find a vet who is obviously so knowledgable and willing to research further if need be. Dr. Bruce has worked with my GSD for years to find a level of comfort for a cronic,complicated health problem. He has referred us out to specialists and completely understands my need for numerous explanations about his condition. He and Anna have made themselves available at all times when it was needed. We love taking all of our Labrador Retrievers to see Dr. Bruce. He has been our general veterinarian of choice for a long time and he never disappoints. We TRUST him to look after our special companions. One of our boys, Tank, is now the Canine Ambassador for the Corps of Cadets at Virginia Tech; many of our puppies are now working Service Dogs and are in the process of becoming medical alert dogs, emotional assistance dogs, and Pet Therapy Dogs. Dr. Bruce and Anna are wonderful people and have taken very good care of my animals. I have done OFA hip x-rays there and they are reasonably priced.
Love these folks. I found them with my first dog 14 years ago...and they have taken care of my dogs since. Dr. Bruce is kind and super knowledgable and always explains everything. He has answered my calls on weekends and nights when my dog was sick and just goes over and beyond if needed. A few years ago he and his staff saved the life of my best friend's dog from salmonella poisoning. I would not go anywhere else. These guys are like family.
I have worked for 3 years as a veterinary assistant at read mountain animal hospital and have also brought my animals there for over 10 years. I may not be the most objective view point but we always strive for the highest quality of medicine or care for our patients and I feel like we provide that.
Dr. Bruce has been our veterinarian for close to ten years. He and his excellent staff have always taken such great care of our fur babies. His expertise, professionalism, and compassion are second to none. I highly recommend Dr. Bruce and his staff at Read Mountain Animal Hospital.
