Tolu listens well and while that may seem small, for me as a BIPOC 1st gen person being heard and felt is everything. She builds trust that is the foundation to therapeutic process. Her somatic experiencing work produces a deep sense of release and strength through addressing the ways that trauma is stored in the body.

Tolu is a brilliant somatic therapist who operates from a liberation and anti-colonial lens. She really understands and appreciates the BIPOC and immigrants experience as a human with those identities and also as a clinician.

Tolu is a fantastic therapist! Her ability to use somatic experiencing to support BIPOC folks navigate generational trauma and anxiety is transformative. If you are seeking an empathetic and compassionate therapist that understands 1st and 2nd generation immigrant cultural transitions, Tolu is it.

Re-member Counseling is a rare find for BIPOC individuals, especially 1st and 2nd generation immigrants. The approach blends somatic experiencing with deep cultural understanding, offering real support for anxiety, burnout, and trauma. Highly recommend to anyone seeking meaningful, culturally competent therapy.

Such a warm welcoming place for BIPOC individuals! If you’ve never done somatic experiencing, you better start now! Tolu is really good at introducing you to the process and making it feel safe. I’ve struggled with anxiety and burnout and I’m feeling much more like myself again since starting. She’s also a really good person to talk to if you’ve experienced any trauma or dealing with issues connected with first or second generation immigrant issues.
