He is a great and caring doctor and person
This place is the worst! They are rude to customers. There is clutter everywhere; lab boxes under the waiting room chairs, papers are stacked up everywhere in the back, boxes in the corner of the office visit room. Signage is misspelled, outdated and everywhere. My wait was over an hour, plus another 15 minutes for getting there early and filling our paperwork. Someone needs to clean and organize. Rude, unprofessional and disrespectful. I would never recommend him to anyone.
Starting with kidney stones, proceeding with prostate management, I have been a patient well over 2 decades. He is one of those physicians that has great clinical instinct, a quality that should be valued above all others. His office is somewhat cramped, exam rooms are not that modern. He is practicing solo, not in group practice, but he does have a PA now. I think he could benefit being a member of a group practice, but really think he likes to practice solo.
I went in Oct 19 due to pain and blood in my urine, they said I need a CT scan, it took 10 days for them to schedule the scan. I personally delivered the CD to Herlihy's office on 11/3/17-I hear NOTHING from them until 12/19/17 my followup scheduled back in JULY. The PA told me I needed a lithrotripsy on both kidneys, took 2 days to schedule the apt. for 7 WEEKS they never bothered to look at my CT scan, despite me telling them I was in pain. No explanations, no caring, poor treatment.
One of the most knowledgeable, kind and considerate physicians I have ever known. I recommend him highly. He also has a great office staff. The waiting room is a little tight and the wait a few too minutes long.
Dr. Hurlihy performed one of many vascectomy procedures on myself. Beyond the staffs professionalism, the procedure went extremely well and I've had no complications.
The only postive experience was him diagnosing me a disease. Which he never explained. There are maybe 2 people on his staff that i came across that were polite, and were sympathetic. Oh, and the bathroom was DISGUSTING.
Dr. Herlihy performed my husband's vasectomy in 2015. I had multiple people recommend him to us and all the other nurses I know also use him. He did a great job and my husband had minimal pain. Last week my father started having horrible back/abdominal pain in the morning and we went to the Mercy ER. By noon Dr. Herlihy had a stent placed for my dad's large kidney stone. Dr. Herlihy was unable to remove/blast the stone that day due to my dad's current medication needing to be stopped for 1 week
