If I could give negative numbers I absolutely would, I have been a customer at RBC since I was 12 years old. Bringing my time with them to 31 years. As far as banking in Canada goes there are no good options. But RBC is one of the worst. They have lost sight of what customer service is, they do not care, there policies screw over innocent people, and their policies when a loved one passes are designed to scrape as much of the estate from the family as they possibly can making them nearly impossible to deal with unless you wa... read more

Avoid this specific RBC Branch. I went in today to secure a bank draft and was told I needed my PIN and client card (understandable). I brought my RBC VISA card and valid ID. I had forgotten my PIN and the girl who worked there told me to just “not forget my pin next time”. She was completely unhelpful and offered no solutions. I then drove to the RBC Branch in uptown and secured a bank draft with no issues. They walked me through how to verify my identity WITHOUT a PIN needed. Please train your staff better.
Avoid RBC if you have any other option for the accounts you are looking for. I regret having been signed up for them as a kid and have taken years of pain dealing with and eventually trying to get away from them for all financial issues/accounts.
Great opening time. They are very helpful with me rushing to open an account just for a banking need.
