I attended a convention recently at the York Ballroom, can't say anything about the venue, however, when it was time for our lunch, they only had two buffet tables to serve over 300 people and there were not enough plates so people had to wait for them to cart the plates in. They were also very slow in replenishing the food causing the people to stand in line even longer.I believe they knew before hand the number of people that they were supposed to serve so they should be ready for it. Great venue. Easy to get to from local hotels. Friendly and helpful staff
Attended the wpg pet show on Saturday Oct 15 with a friend who has a slight walking disability. We parked at the now old parkade. Saw the sign saying south parkade now open. No other sign saying event was in new building. Got to 2nd floor to find had to go to main floor to buy tickets. Then go back upstairs to get across walkway to new side. May I suggest better signage to indicate if event is taking place at new bldg before entering parkade. Not like we could leave w/o paying to park on other side.
