The Winnipeg Convention Centre (I refuse to succumb to the current fashion of naming rights) is a wonderful convention facility, overall. On this visit, I came to appreciate more deeply the elegant but simple architecture, while my wife and I both marvelled at the quality of the sound control in a room that was filled with people. Parking for an event is terrible. Try to avoid Convention Center as a result. This weekend I went to the home show. Lineup to underground was long. I tried building adjacent to it hoping to use the skywalk. Once I parked I saw he sign that skywalk is closed evenings and weekends. So had to go outside after all in -30 weather.
I really enjoyed my visit there went to the home renovation show and it was a great time.
Our Convention Centre is a great place to meet and show case Manitoba. My only concern is parking.
