Ray's Ray's seafood is a must stop restaurant on my vacation every year. Thier scallops and lobster are fantastic. The staff was very friendly and readily offer me suggestions.
RecommendedWe were a large party of 8, entered restaurant 45 minutes before closing on a Wednesday night. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. The food was hot and delicious. It was one of the best dinners we have had together in years. The oysters were some of the best fried ones I have ever had in any state. The fried sole was incredible so moist and crisp. Half of our party was so impressed they went back on Friday again. Everything was just as good. Thank you Rays!!!
My wife and I had never been to Ray's, but years ago I was told it was the place to go for seafood in the Essex area. We drove an hour from Franklin VT to try it out for our anniversary because my wife is from Maine and loves seafood. We were disappointed beyond belief. The prices are high for the amount you get, and the food had no taste whatsoever, but I drew the line when my wife bit into her fish fillet and it was rancid and smelled like Ammonia! Best fish house & creemee stand around.
Uncertain how they are able to Execute everything better than any location I've ever been to, but they did! keep up the great work!
Called in an order for a lobster roll. I was told 15 minutes. An hour and a half later still standing in the parking lot waiting for my food. Took 20 minutes before anyone even came to the window to get my name. Wish it wasn't already paid for or I would have left. And all the customers outside can hear is the employees inside screaming at each other. Do better.
